Born on 25 November 1968, Jillian Noel Hennessy is energetic Canadian performer and actress who has been praised by her outstanding contribution for American television. She's best known for her amazing performances on the American television programs like Law & Order (where she impressed viewers over three seasons in the role of prosecutor Claire Kincaid) and Crossing Jordan (where she portrayed the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh). Hennessy showed her talent in independent films like Chutney Popcorn or The Acting Class. Hennessy started her acting career with her sister, playing twin call-girls on Dead Ringers in 1988. She spent a short time on Broadway performing Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, after which she moved into science fiction when she appeared as Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her breakthrough came later in the year after she was tapped as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. The three-season run in the role was a hit with the public. The show ended in 1996. Parker is a regular in a number of series and films, among them RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys of the Side West Wing Angels and Angels in America. As a result of these roles she won an Emmy Award in 2006 and a Golden Globe Award in 2006 and an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker was also awarded the Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her performance in the role of Proof in the musical Proof on Broadway.
